:’( I Lost My N82 During Octoberfest

Since February, I made this unique category in fritizified.com saying “Photos (using N82)” not to kiss Nokia’s ass but more like I have finally found something that can equal the image capture qualities of my Canon Ixus i5 plus more.

I lost my N82 during Octoberfest owing to a pickpocket, God bless his damned soul.

It had in it a new Micro SD card so all my past photos are still with me, don’t worry. I also installed and activated all sorts of security apps and internal locking features so all data in the unit should be secured. Opening/unlocking/changing SIMs will only work if they wipe the contents clean.

I initially intended to upload photos for this post to show the moments I’ve captured in the past several months of using the unit but I realized I don’t feel that up for it. You’ll hear me saying “that’s alright,” “got it for 6k via retention, anyway,” and “we’ll see,” but it’s not alright, it’s not about how much it cost, and I don’t see myself shelling out money again for something better/at par since I had already been this careless. I was having so much fun with everything I can do (and everything I can still do) with the N82. Now that it’s gone, I’ll have this post/article to remember the good times with (among the thousands of others photos I still have).

Yes, I won’t pretend, I’m depressed.

Details (for blocking with the NTC):
If you find the following details in the unit you are
considering to buy, the unit's surely stolen.
Don't buy off- or online. Be warned.
Unit: Nokia N82 - 1 Warm L/L.Titanium
WLAN:001DFD7CEA3E
IMEI:358984011864306
Item: 002D6L5

these pickpocketers are such an expert! Phones have been stolen even if placed in the front pockets.

      Sorry about your phone.

      1. Fritz on 07.09.2008 at 23:58 (Reply)

They were placed in my front pocket, yes, but with that crowd, na sobra talagang sikip and init, all your defenses would be for naught. Mine went down sobra. Thanks Noemi!

fritz, you can actually have NTC lock the phone. i forgot how this is done but at least your snatcher will never be able to use it!

      1. Fritz on 08.09.2008 at 01:52 (Reply)

Yup! Elena Cardinez over at plurk gave me a landline number and an email ad to contact. She’s give me a contact person, too, by tomorrow. I’ll do that, yes, thanks man! And thanks to the charming Elena! :D Everything’s in plurk, I tell you.

And some of them have not even seen the light of day. Andito lang sa PC. Naghihintay sa mga kapatid nilang di pa nakukunan. *drama mode set at +80*

        1. Jehzeel Laurente on 09.09.2008 at 01:06 (Reply)

    15. Micamyx on 08.09.2008 at 09:09 (Reply)

Naalala ko lang September din pala ako nanakawan last year in a concert din! Hayayay buti na lang hindi ko pa na-claim yung free phone ko sa smart nun. Yung stolen phone sira-sira na pero full of memories. oh well.. don’t worry better things will come your way. Makakarma din yun snatcher na yun.

    16. TheBachelorGirl on 08.09.2008 at 18:43 (Reply)

Oh, that’s great. The phone will be totally useless to them. The great irony of having a beautiful mobile phone on hand that cannot be of service… Love it!

Thanks again for the help during WordCamp. ;)

    17. [...] Thank you San Miguel Beer for having us over. It was a great night despite me losing, sniff, my phone! [...]
