An ode to my ex-phone, the Samsung U700
Here are the last photos I took of the phone I lost in March 2008: the slim Samsung Ultra 12.1 aka U700. It sports a 3.2 Megapixel camera, runs compatible with HSDPA, and has an internal document viewer. What I like most about it is the fast user interface, it being stylishly slim, its Bluetooth stereo A2DP, and the convenient expandable memory (up to with via Micro SD). The soft touch function may take some getting used to, though, same is true with the scroll-wheel that you can use when browsing through your music files or SMS. Just with that, it’s a shame I lost it due to negligence.
I used it for four months and I have only found little known quirks on the U700. Use the built-in Internet browser, loading all images as you go, and, boom! Blinkies! The phone blinks and hangs and the only thing you can do to restore it is if you take out the battery and turn it back on. The solution I found that worked rather well is when I installed Opera Mini and used it as my default browser instead.
The U700’s a looker. Its very light weight and that polished facia will surely steal scenes wherever you are. Did I already say it’s slim? You can carry it around and not worry about it bulging unsightly inside your pocket. Even your breast pocket when you’re looking all corporate.
You may have seen the more common silver colored model. I’d have to say the black chrome finish in the photos below looks more schmenxeh and business-like and I think you’ll agree. Thanks, Samsung, for the face-lift!

phone ko yan right now. hahaha! actually maganda siya talaga. and di pa naman siya naghahang sa akin.
Ano color nung sayo? Finger print magnet, no? Pero ok talaga. The uncustomizable SMS alert tone did not even bother me one bit.
i agree, this phone is really awesome.. i’m loving it..
