Here are photos I took from last Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Philippine World Cyber Games 2008 (WCG 2008) held in the SM Mall of Aisa. I took my sweet time elbowing my way for a good shot at the cosplayers in the event in the backstage area where everyone’s convened. As usual, most of them were just meh, others crap, and there are quite a number of really good ones like Optimus Prime (winning 1st place), the kid Predator (2nd place), Ironman in Mark I (3rd place), Sauron (who IMHO should have won), and Spawn, to name a few. And Catwoman!
The activity area was split in two: at one end, the cosplay, on another, the games. There was a Guitar Hero tournament, too, I heard, but that one happened on Friday (major suckage, I know). Since the event is sponsored by Samsung, there was a sea of LCD monitors blanketing the gaming area where DOTA and Warcraft are being played. Like hundreds of them, all lined up neatly, discreetly enticing people to go buy one of them shiny, sleek, and trendy peripherals. I want one already!

IMHO, ganda nya. She’s prettier than Halle Berry. LOL. Too bad she had to wear body stockings in parts. She’s still very young, methinks.
