I will hold firm to my initial stand that I will not nominate fritzified.com into this poll for the sole reason that I am a man of my word. Keeping that word, however, proved to be more difficult than I expected. The feeling is akin to when you finally decide to quit smoking and you are on your second smoke-free month but work suddenly throws a level 14 attack at your level three resolve and you can already feel your nerves picketing for a puff-worth of nicotine goodness and the only sound idea you can think of at that moment is to surrender to the craving and give your lungs its much needed breather. The dude is torn: have a major mental breakdown if he stays on or go easy and reset his smoke-free counter for another, more conducive time. I’m in a similar situation now. In agony with a dose of uncomfortable giddiness. So far, Ria, Benj, Shari, Paolo, Arbet, SamJuan, Rhodilee, Raein, Doc Tess, Juned, Kevin, Rommel, Aileen Apolo, Andrew_DS, Marcelle, Poyt, Nina, Bleue, vaes9 aka Eugene, MLQ3, Coy, and Digiputz gave fritzified the vote of confidence (thanks guys! You have impeccably good taste! LOL).
New blogs are created everyday yet I have only seen a few notably good ones that have remained consistent, post after post, in reflecting the high standards their authors have set for themselves to adhere to. The allure of writing rants may be tempting but, in the event that they do give in, those among what I call the “enlightened” can easily elevate babbling to an art form.
Despite not earning a fortune from writing, some bloggers come up with quality blogs that are either big on research, heavy on sound ideas, fortified with quality images/multimedia, informative, entertaining, or demonstrative of several or all of these qualities. Should this become the core of a blog’s foundation, a class that’s distinct and worthy of being called “influential” despite their only recent “emergence” ensues.
Building on this thought, wouldn’t it be great if all of the Philippines’ blog authors were guided by this cred? Everyone has it in them to create better posts by SEO-ing with class, sharing their ideas with passion, and not letting a single post go published without exerting an extra push/effort, if at all we aren’t doing so already. I feel that we have a so called responsibility as new media publishers to our readers so we should at the very least be informative. If not entertaining or tastefully provocative.

Hey Fritz! I’m truly flattered to have gotten your nomination, but I must mention that I created my blog in 2002. =(
Though I started video blogging in November 2007, the videos were posted onto my six year old blog. That would take me out of the running.

I haven’t found a better way to present my archives so I’ve always limited it to the “recent twelve” months. I’ve expanded the archive area on the front page so no one else will get confused.
