Thai food will assault your senses with a well calibrated interplay of taste mixed with smell, texture, and visual appeal. Enough said. Below are photos of what we had for dinner just a few hours ago. I could have these all my life and never tire of them. Wait, lightbulb moment: I’ll go buy some spice here so I can try replicating these sumptuous dishes at home in Manila! iGenius!

Enough with the talk. The photos, let me show you them. (TIP: you may drag the photos to see parts of the width covered by the margin. Try it! It was WOW for me first time I did it. Kthnx)

    I miss Thailand. Damn you.

If you can, enroll in a Thai cooking class. It’s worth it. Though the only thing I cook regularly from the class I took was Pad thai lol

    Soooo…met any ladyboys yet?

  2. dementia Says:

    Huh? You’re in Thailand already?!

This Nina, faster than a speeding locomotive! LULZ nothing yet. I’m palming my way through everything right now (in tagalog nangangapa pa ako ng kultura at kalakaran dito. Mukha atang mahaba ang translation. Anyway!). I shall replicate their dishes based on memory. Goodluck to me! :D

  16. Fritz Says:

I actually don’t eat tom yum myself. I order it because other people want it. And tom yums should look similar anywhere, just like fish cracker, kwek-kwek, and shingaling.

  17. Fritz Says:

Will Thai Porn scandal DVDs as pasalubong change your mind? ;)

  18. Fritz Says:

Now, now, Ade. We all know you hunger for whatever and not just Thai food. XD

is the main dish some kind of beef with oyster sauce? I see something that looks like liver and bit of shrimp too. hehe

  28. Fritz Says:

Actually, they are all sort of main dishes but the one you are referring to is, yes, that’s pork meat and pork liver with shrimp in oyster sauce. Yay!

  29. Ryan Says:

The sad thing about actually growing up in Thailand is not being able to properly appreciate stuff like the food. I mean, I loved it, but I didn’t really take time to appreciate it like I would now.

  32. Fritz Says:

Oi Ains! I just went around when I extended my stay. I also helped an ex-boss with her powerpoint graphs and caught up with old times. I also got to listen their testimony of how it is to live in Thailand, its nuances, the insider scoop on local politics, the works. Hehehe. Therefore, I geeked around more than required. XD
