If you have been the recipient of countless Golden and Rainbow Poos in the last couple of weeks, you’ll be disappointed to find that as of today, PlayFish has capped the number of poos each pet can own at a time: 1 Rainbow Poo and 3 Golden Poos. You’ll be forced by the system to sell your excess items for one gold each upon login. This “phenomenon” happened right after maintenance update for Pet Society on September 25, 2009 and it has made countless gamers angry, notwithstanding the explanation given by the forum moderators (seen here).
Me take on this is, man, I’ve been trading in the forums since December 2008 and one thing I know for sure is that Golden Poos had already been selling for much since early this year. Some people got them though hard work and for PlayFish to cap the poo-ownership the way it is now is depriving those who bought those poos fair and square their just reward. Sure, the proliferation of poos in the forums of late were jacked up by hackers peddling poos by cloning them but capping is just wrong. Capping without prior notice made it worse. I think this is the time when most would really be forced to delete the game from their Facebook profiles despite their love for Pet Society. That could just be me, though.

I particularly felt for this player in the forums who had on display in his “Golden Room” at least 6 Golden Poos to accentuate his trophy and items collection. Now he’s left with three. Poor guy. His was not an isolated case as there are more who have expressed anger at PlayFish’s action. Good thing I only have 2 Rainbow Poos and 2 Golden Poos so I’m safe.
Movign on to next week’s sneak peek, my regular source of items forecast in Youtube has not updated yet but I found this other youtube vid which will serve this purpose just the same. Now, don’t click on “play” if you do not want a spoler!
I’m particularly excited with the new Fisherman’s Hat that will guarantee, once used, that you can only catch the “fish” and not trash. If your guess is as good as mine, they will definitely be in the Cash Shop. Speaking of which, did you know that (in the Philippines) you can now get to buy Cash Coins without using credit card or paypall? Go to Netopia and ask for either the P500 or P1,000 denominations (US$10 and US$20, respectively) of the Ultimate Gamer Card. Ask the Netopia nearest you if they have ‘em (Netopia in Walter Mart has). Post your question in the comment section if you want a guide on how to use the Ultimate Gamer Card for Pet Society.
See you next time!

so, what happened to updates on fish? I hear there are two new fish. Knifefish and Pretzel fish! Does the fishing hat effect catching rare fish in the game?
