This is going to be short but sweet. There are two new items in the Pet Society pond on Facebook as of yesterday, August 20, 2009: the Catfish (at last!) and a new (some call them “trash” LOL) item, the Anemone. Still, no new rods.
Like in my previous posts, here are the documented food items that you can use to catch these new releases:
Anemone: Cheese, Strawberry, Lemon, Apple, Grapes, Carrot, Watermelon Slice
Catfish: Milk (the plain white one)
If you get them Catfish and Anemone using other food as bait, please do share and I’ll update the list so others may be guided. For my personal collection, I’m still lacking the very very elusive Seahorse (with carrot only) and Strawberryfish (with strawberry only). These are two of the rarest, IMHO. Good thing I already caught the Piranha.
There’s this crazy situation in Pet Society wherein several users are put under “maintenance” but something weird’s different this time. They STILL can play the game. Players had been clamoring because the “affected” users can’t trade items while this is ongoing. On the bright side, atleast they can still play. PlayFish, I heard, is on with the case already and hopefully, this gets resolved soon. As you may observe from the screenshot above, Buboy Damo took a “maintenance” rest and got Paprika to do the fishing just so we can have a screenshot of the fresh catch. Ain’t she adorable? She’s sporting a secret pet fur colour, too!
See you again next week with, hopefully, the new rods. Yay!

That one’s not out yet. If ever, because I think there’s been a mistake in the way that was spelled, that should come out as the macaroonfish. Just guessing.

uhmn..this is not related with fishing but I’m really curious wih what I saw
I visit my friend and saw a tree it looks like a cupcake tree but it has pink leaves . It’s more like a cherry blossom.. just wonderin’ if prt soc released a new tree? i took a picture of that tree

Behind the pet on the screencap in this post is the same pink tree you are referrin to. Came out last week. It’s a cherry tree. There’s also a new vegetable, the “petdrake” and two new flowers, the Pink Dahlia and the Jasmine.

Just caught the Anemone using Samosa (15 coins) and also a Dogfish using Baklava (30 coins) Both were first try. Hope this helps and thanks for the updates!! =) I really hope they release those rods soon!!! =)

Wow, finally caught my first and second seahorse using store bought carrot. Why is the seahorse so hard to catch? All the other fish are so easy!!! Will Pet Society continue creating new fish even though your list of fish (except 1) are all caught?

So we will all try and fish until we run out of moolah? LOL I hope they can release rods that can up our chances of catching rare fish (so I can go on living normally already LOL). I don’t even have the seahorse and strawberryfish yet as of this time. Fishing makes me sleepy.

Well, I guess they have been holding out on the rods for some reason, hopefully a good reason? Actually, I think I have been lucky or the system likes me, I havent spent much money on fishing. I have been able to catch the same fish (rare or not) right after each other. When I leave “The Pond” right after I just caught the special fish and then I go back into “The Pond” I will catch that same fish. This can happen 2 to 3 times in a row and once 5 times when I tried with the Pirahna. Now I have 5 Pirahna. The only hard one was the seahorse, but once I caught it, I left, came back and caught another next cast! Thats why I said before it is so easy for me to catch other fish.

I caught the strawberryfish and Seahorse easily, they’re my first rare fishes but i’m having difficulties catching the Piranha and Catfish!Can someone teach me how to catch them easily?
