They still have this promo going on in select 7-Eleven branches for Midnight Blend, their new freshly brewed coffee offering. Any sized coffee (you may choose between small, medium, and large) can be yours at the low low price of P35 a cup. Surreal, right? Couldn’t believe it either. I thought the cashier that time was only coming on to me (schmeckshually) when she said I can opt to get the bigger cup if I was up for that since I’ll still be paying the same amount anyway. When she did not follow her statement through with a “kindat sabay kagat labi,” I dismissed this presumption as a delusion. Hers, not mine. Saw what I did there? I bet you got confused with my logic as much as I did. Hah!

Going back, of the 4 cups I had this week alone, there was this one time when the coffee left a sour after taste. The coffee I got must have been brewed a few hours back thus rendering the coffee stale. I hate it when that happens. From that moment on, I made sure to get my coffee fresh from the brewing machine even if they’re already keeping some warm in a pot. So far, from three different branches, nobody has tried to stop me from doing this yet (whispers: I suggest you do so, too, shhhh!).

To clarify, I am not doing a promo for 7-Eleven, although I think I already am LOL. I just thought of sharing with you guys a cheaper alternative because I know there are several others out there who, like me, can’t survive a day without a cup of coffee to perk them up. Besides, the economy is in bad shape so we all need some serious saving up to do. I’ve searched high and low for branches that have the Midnight Blend in the area near where I work along Ayala and I found three, so far: RCBC Tower (3rd floor where the restaurants are), Citiland Tower (near the now non-existent Shell Maya or across the 24-hour McDonalds in the vicinity), or that one over at People Support (adjacent to Jollibee).

This is the large sized, 16 oz. “to go” cup. 

7-Eleven also has other flavored coffee offerings at P35, P45, and P55 a cup, depending on its size. The P35 price for any size of Midnight Blend is available for a limited time only. Bummer. I wish it would last forever. Parang diamonds lang. LMAO!
