The whole point of this post is to show off the pretty kickass video I made off the Godskitchen Event at A-Venue last 08.08.08. Uh-huh, this is a vlog right here, baby! The intro part showing my URL I made using Adobe After Effects and I kind of dig the “in your face” vibe it’s got going. Quite timely for the Beijing Olympics, too, owing to the fireworks/sparks as pointed out by Irvin aka Bulitas.
I found the following pretty useful during post-prod: Vegas Pro 8 for putting together the video components (thanks Neil, for the brilliant suggestion), Adobe Soundbooth for extracting and editing sound (also dBpoweramp, useful when converting wavs to mp3 or vice versa, and a nifty program for putting fade ins and outs into your track called mptrim), Adobe After Effects as already mentioned, and the FLV to AVI MPEG etc etc converter (also suggested by Neil). Video captured using the camphone, of course. Free hotlinking-enabled file hosting courtesy of Uploadingit.com (I looked high and low for a host because Youtube’s compression sucks dirty balls. With hernia!).
From the 5 short clips I took during the event, here’s the final cut. Helga is in it at around the 0:25 mark. Har! Please “pause” the video until the entire thing has loaded/finished buffering. Nokia Tune Mix by DJ John Boy Lee. All rights reserved where due.

cool video fritz ! irritating lang yung sounds nila. i appreciated the ringtone mix up until the first few bars.. after that nakakasawa na. ay, coming from a music perspective yun…yung video nga pala yung highlight.

LOL hindi naman ganun ang tugtog sa buong event, pero nakakatuwa kasi minsan lang rin may genius na nakakagawa ng ganun. As for vlogging, ang hirap gumawa, kaya saludo ako sa mga vloggers natin. Who knows, baka mapadalas XD

I swear I didan’t want to but there wasn’t a trace of a clean and cozy comfort room in sight so I had to walk home (yes, teh house is just two blocks away from A-Venue. I like hardcore house when I’m drugged. Which is never. Sorry. Chicane!

I couldn’t stream directly on the post so I had to download using the link below. But hey! If you convert it to MP4, dailymotion is the best policy.
Vegas is one powerful tool, Fritz. Premiere just gobbles up so much RAM that I couldn’t do anything else (unless you use a super duper high-end PC). Plus it renders sooooo slow for home PCs and all. And yeah, kudos to that glitch on FLV converter allowing almost every file to be converted to other formats on the drop down list box. :D :D
And the fireworks! THE FIREWORKS!!! :D :D
