I took these during the Happy Slip Meet-and-Greet last February 8, 2008, Thursday, at Mag:net Café in Bonifacio High Street. The event is sponsored by the Philippines Department of Tourism, yehey.com, and Mag:net Café. Happy times with teh HappySlip those were!
I must say Christine Gambito of happyslip.com has a genuinely big heart. With the persistence of local fans, she even extended the event for another day which I heard made her re-schedule her flight date. Guests comprised of 100 lucky bloggers were there the first day. We were treated with song numbers from Josh Verdes (Christine’s cousin), a Q&A, raffle prizes, lunch, a personal autographed picture, and gigabites worth of videos and photos of the event on the aggregate. She’d pose with fans and answer our questions in earnest. Lucky folks get to even hug her.
Without further ado, my HappySlip event photos, let me show you it.
All photos in this set were taken using the new Nokia N82: 5 megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss Optics: Tessar™ lens, and xenon flash. Conveniently uploaded to flickr using the phone’s built-in “One-click upload” feature of photos & videos to the web.

galing talaga ng photographic skilz mo pre. ok yung pic of the guy in red (though di maganda subject hehe). about this happyslip, di ko alam what the fuzz is about. it just another “am girl-boy makes fun of ‘carabao english’ filipino practices stuff” ang dami daming mas magagaling dito, hindi pinapansin. maybe dahil decent looking siya?
reminds me of people saying sitti is a great singer because she’s hot hehehe

Haha, sumbong kita kay Juned! Some might take her visit here like that but, no. Not really, not this time. She didn’t actually come to visit to be all popular. She was tapped by DOT for a campaign to make other Filipinos the world over want to come and experience the country through her and her videos. Ingenious, actually. HappySlip’s clips get wide viewership. I can’t say I’d swoon and die to be in any meet and greet but she’s talented and I’ve been watching her vlogs from when she only had 5 up in her site. Ok, so sige na nga, fan na ako LOL
