The Samsung F8 Full HD TV Experience

I pass by show windows in malls and could not help but get discouraged from buying plasma TVs. Yes, we get wider screens and space saving, wall-mountable monitors but picture quality is, um, not quite there yet. “HD my ass” is what I’d usually say when I see horridly pixelated images from varying HD TV brands. That was before, though, of my first hand experience at viewing crisp and flawlessly rendered transmissions off the Samsung F8 Full HD TV.

What Samsung did with the F8 Full HD TV is incorporate their 100Hz MotionPLUS technology which, true to their claim, amazingly eliminates the “shadow image” in on-screen fast-paced movements. There were horizontally moving pictures on screen and yes, there were no trail-blazing ghosts on the F8 alright. The blurring did not bother me before, frankly, but after seeing with my own eyes how Samsung’s new technology gave really smooth and natural looking images instantly took my TV viewing preferences to a whole different level.

Two LCD TVs were placed side by side for the demo: an HD TV and the new F8 Full HD TV. They transmit the same video feeds but the F8 Full HD TV gave blacker blacks with a dynamic contrast ratio that’s nearly twice better than your conventional HD TVs (at 25,000:1), all owing to their patented super clear LCD panel technology and Full HD 1080p. If these tech jargons are too much for you as they were for me, click here for the flash presentation in Samsung Philippine’s site for a visual tour.

Two built-in sub-woofers, baby!

Similar to earlier Samsung LCD TVs, the F8 Full HD TV still has that sexy look and feel when it comes to over-all design. It packs two built-in sub-woofers that will definitely give both movie-enthusiasts and gamers unparalleled sight-and-sound experience. Want to listen to or view files from your USB memory stick, MP3 players, and handycams? Have no fear, the Wiselink USB 2.0 slots are hurr!

I’ve seen the future of TV and it’s the Samsung F8 Full HD TV. I’d recommend this baby to everyone. It currently comes in 40”/46”/52” models. The 72” model Samsung used for presentations practically made us drool endlessly throughout the night. It is not available locally yet, though, sry2say. That and the 72” costs a fortune.
